Westaway Film are proud to have completed filming at the Emirates Stadium last week. The project involved getting an inside look at the inner workings of the landmark and profiling the work of the staff in a DNC recruitment drive.

As park of the global Geopark campaign a series of films have been commissioned to both educate and showcase various sites of natural beauty across the Southwest of England. The films will be used on interactive touchscreens in libraries and museums across Europe.
DEPICT! 2010 success! (12/09/09)
William Westaway's film The Sleepy Astronaut has been nominated for the prestigious Depict awards. The competition is widely 'depicted' for being the most acclaimed short film festival on the web. Over 500 films were entered from all over the world and the winner will be announced at the Encounters Film Festival.
Save the Children... 'Festival of Tennis' (03/09/09)
This month shooting starts on the Save-the-Children-Festival-of-Tennis promo, a film showcasing nationwide fundraising which culminates at the Lawn Tennis Association in London. Pro's such as Tim Henman, Andy Murray and Greg Rudjetski will be there to, helping raise money and awareness for children in Africa.

Last week shooting began on TV pilot 'The Also Rans' (as pictured). The series follows the lives of four very different and curious young characters, described by writer/producer Tom Czaban as 'biopics with a twist'. Post-production starts later this month so lets hope it's hitting TV screens later this year.

Westaway on the shortlist for 4th Vauxhall Award(08/12/08)
Its been announced that William Westaway is on the short list for January's Vauxhall Auteur Theory Award, an initiative set up by Lucia Helenka, designed to support and showcase undiscovered directorial talent. The award will take place at this years London Film Festival so watch this space!

This years Horse Of The Year show, marked by its 60th Jubilee anniversary and the riding debut of Katie Price, made it bigger than ever. Westaway Film were on hand as the offical HOYS camera crew; taking charge of the Video Diary Room, shooting the promos and helping to cover the live action with Sky Sports.

Both films entered into the International Comedy Film Festival by Westaway Film have made the final 20. Yesterday officials announced the shortlisted finalists, and both 'I do' and 'Four!' were among them. Director William Westaway said ' I'm happy as now I have 2 chances of winning, so fingers crossed!'

It's a busy time in the post-production suite as work begins on promotional and corporate films for sub-aquatic giant Waterbabies. Over 250 films will be produced in order to make the world biggest baby swimming company train staff more thoroughly and promote their services to a wider audience. Arr, aren't they cute?

It's full speed ahead for the 90
seconds recruitment film project at the 02 Arena in May, which has just been confirmed today. The filming will take place at various points all over the arena on a night where Girls Aloud (right) top the bill.

Producers at Westaway Film are still pushing for a documentary project to take place on Oak Island, Nova Scotia. Since 2005 they have been trying to gain permissions from the various parties involved but so far without success. "There is a lot of red tape and people involved who are not willing to participate, but we're not going to give up" said producer Tom Czaban.

Following the success of The Life of Fryer on the Ch4 website the broadcaster has decided to cut the gripping FourDoc into a 3-Minute-Wonder so that it can make it's TV debut. The Life of Fryer goes out on Wednesday 26th March on Ch4 at 7.55pm.

The Life of Fryer finally completed(08/01/08)
James Fryer, budding entreprenuer, is finally free of life through a lens. A documentary that has been following the progress of his post-uni life for the last 21 months has been cut into a snappy short film. The documentary entitled 'The Life of Fryer' has been entered into short film festivals all over the world, including; Paris, Baltimore, Brussels, London and not forgeting FOURDOCS on Ch4, so watch this space.

Long awaited Marriage to be completed in January(05/01/08)
Finally, after 15 months in the can, actor Simon Scaysbrook finally has something to be happy about. Short film 'Marriage' is set to be completed in the next two weeks after filming was cut short in October 2006 after script problems. Writer, Tom Czaban is currently in China so this is the directors chance to re-write and shoot without suffering wrath-like consequences from the globetrotter.

Unititled Heaven Project scriptwork begins...(02/01/08)
Development work begins on an untitled script set in the afterlife. The idea has been on the backburner for about 18 months, but now the project has finally resurfaced and will undergo a re-write. First Draft set to be completed by 16th Feb 2008.
